we are not talking about lineage... we are talking about the imams... they are not special because they are related to the prophet but that they are his successors... there is nothing special about syeds either... the prophet himself said hold fast to the book of Allah and be mindful of my ahle bayt for they will not part company with each other till they reach me at the pool of khawthir... the fact tat u dont know the names of the ahle bayt shows it all really... Bukhari speaks of 12 emirs who will be the leaders of the ummah... who are the sunni 12? quran itself says that Allah purified the ahle bayt (quran 33:33)
