I believe in studying the characters from history not blindly following them... take for example Muawiyya... I used to call him Hazrat.... reading up on him showed me how he was concerned only for establishing his power and how he fought Hazrat Ali at Siffan causing muslims 2 die all so he could hold on2 power.... how he made his wicked son yazeed king after him despite an agreement with imam Hassan saying he wouldnt.... and we all knw what Yazeed did!
