He's a Palestinian nationalist, and most of his poetry is on his love for Palestine and Arabic and Arabs. The most moving line I remember from his poems is: "Anaa lughatee!" Means, "I am my language." It inspired me to write a poem (or start writing a poem) called "My Heart Bleeds Pashto."
