How delightful!
It's sad that we learn how to unite in times of miseries and don't seem to learn it otherwise, but it's a great lesson for us all to learn nonetheless! It's better to learn (and practice) it late than never. I'm very pleased to hear that help is being provided.
Khan Gul, what I NEED to know is this: Which organizations are physically on the ground there helping victims? Who do you think seems the most trustworthy? We have initiated a large fundraiser at my university, led by the professors of the Islamic Studies department, and, naturally, I've forced myself into the committee as well. While we don't have any problems collecting everything we believe the victims are in a desperate need of, we're hesitant to give it to just ANY organization to take it with them the next time they're going to Pakistan.
So far, we are leaning most towards the Eidhi Foundation, but Islamic Relief is also an option. Who do you suggest, whether between these two or among the others?
