It is completely free. I have found it useful.
When you do a search using a search engine (i.e. google, yahoo, bing etc) then next to each result it will show a green tick (safe), a yellow exclamation mark (caution) or a red cross (warning).
It also shows a 'site report' giving some details about known viruses, dangerous downloads etc regarding that site.

Perhaps you may have such a feature with your existing anti-virus program, perhaps not, but either way I would recommend downloading it.
