The US says it is planning to withdraw troops from Afghanistan in an effort to end the war. But we are now learning that military personnel have not been completely truthful when reporting what exactly is happening to soldiers fighting in Afghanistan.

As President Obama made a trip to Afghanistan on Tuesday to sign an agreement on America's commitment to end the nearly decade long war, it has recently been discovered the military is under-reporting the amount of times Afghan soldiers and police open fire on American and other foreign troops.

The U.S.-led coalition routinely reports each time an American or a foreign soldier is killed by an Afghan. But it has been reported the military does not tell when there have been insider attacks when the Afghan wounds or misses his U.S. or allied target, and it also doesn't report the wounding of troops who were attacked alongside those who were killed, many Americans say this sounds all too familiar.

The attacks more than likely reveal a level of mistrust between U.S. led coalition and its Afghan counterparts. As America plans to withdraw troops from the Afghanistan, the U.S. and its military partners are working more closely with Afghan troops in preparation for handing off security responsibility to them by the end of 2014. Since the start of the war over 1,800 U.S. soldiers has been killed the Defense Department says more than 15,000 service members have been wounded in hostile action.

In a released statement the Defense Department has fired back at the recent reports telling Press TV the " InternationalSecurity and Assistance Force strongly refutes the notion that suggest that the coalition engages in under-reporting the number of times that Afghan soldiers and police open fire on American and other foreign troops. We do track all attacks on ISAF forces. It has been our policy to put out a press release when an ISAF service member has been killed as it has been our policy not to release numbers of injuries for all types of combat operations.

Still, it's of little reassurance to some Americans, who have gone tired of the war all together

100 thousand troops are fighting in the war which costs about 2 billion dollars a week to fund. U.S troops could start leaving Afghanistan as early next month according to US officials
