US embassy in Kabul in lockdown after suicide bombing

Afghan police say a big blast that rocked Kabul a short time ago was a suicide car bomb attack.
It happened on the Jalalabad road in the east of the city, where there are several foreign military bases.
Witnesses report casualties have been seen after the attack that appeared to target the bases.
A warning system at the US embassy, which is in the centre of Kabul, urged staff to stay away from windows and take cover.
The embassy is under lockdown.
There's no word yet on casualties or damage.
