PressTV - Afghan war kills three US-led soldiers
Three US-led soldiers have been killed in a roadside bombing in eastern Afghanistan, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) says.
NATO said the soldiers were killed on Saturday without providing further detail about the exact location of the blast and the nationality of the soldiers, the Associated Press reported.
The Western military alliance recently shifted its focus from southern Afghanistan to the east.
Roadside bombs and improvised explosive devices are by far the most lethal weapon Taliban militants have used against foreign troops, Afghan forces as well as civilians.
The increasing number of military casualties in Afghanistan has caused widespread anger in the US and other NATO member states, undermining public support for the Afghan war.
Insecurity continues to rise across Afghanistan despite the presence of nearly 150,000 US-led forces in the country.
