With the release of government documents this week by WikiLeaks, there is a growing mountain of evidence that the U.S. has been perpetrating atrocities in Afghanistan and the neighboring region. The war is going badly for the United States, with plenty of signs that the Taliban have only grown stronger and bolder during the course of the war. In addition to the hundreds of U.S. troops killed in the war, the U.S. led war has killed far more civilians than the government or the corporate media have so far acknowledged. The Obama administration, at this point complicit in the war crimes, has attempted to make the leaked documents about the people who leaked the documents. In the biggest display of Orwellian chutzpah, the Pentagon claims that not of the documents are actually "secret."
