It is critical that all governments work to establish greater trust between themselves and their citizens through transparency and accountability. Lack of transparency and accountability in any sector; whether it is government or private institution, will create mistrust, misunderstanding, inconsistency, and lack of communication among all parties involved. According to the report, to reduce economic uncertainties and for better management of the resources in the Afghan security sectors, donor nations, Afghan leaders, international partners, and resolute support personnel cametogether to review progress on transparency, accountability and affordability initiatives within the Afghan Security Institutions, as well as strategize the way forward in these critical areas.
