As you all know in the past 14 years the U.S. and international community has contributed billions of dollars towards Afghanistan’s infrastructure building, security and economic growth. Afghanistan has made significant progress in different sectors especially mobile phones. Economic development is the key for success for any nation and it is no different for Afghanistan. There is a direct correlation between economic prosperity, peace and security. Today, more than 85 percent of Afghans use cellphones, and they pay 10 percent tax on mobile use; which generates millions of Afghanis in revenue for the Afghan government to allocate for developmental and reconstruction projects.
What else can the Afghan government and the international community do to further improve Afghan economic prospect in the next five years?
Respectfully,
