Afghan President Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai promptly after his inauguration speech vowed to crack down on corruption and ensure security throughout the nation. Ashraf Ghani said reopening Kabul Bank’s inquiry was the first step in the fight against corruption and those behind Kabul Bank’s scandal would be brought to justice. According to the Attorney General's office, 300 million USD stolen money of the bank has been already recuperated and many people have been put behind bars. It is worth mentioning that Dr.Abdullah, Abdullah Chief Executive Officer in numerous occasions has strongly supported the President on his pledges to bring to justice those behind Kabul Bank’s scandal.
