  • Afghan National Security Forces Capabilities

Afghan National Police (ANP) now has the capacity to train new recruits without International Security Forces (ISAF) assistance. Stephen McFarland, the Coordinating Director for Rule of Law and Law Enforcement (CDROLLE), announced that the ANP is now more capable than ever and can take on training responsibilities itself while speaking at the training transition ceremony held in Kabul.
The ceremony was attended by senior foreign officials, US Ambassadors for Rule of Law and Law Enforcement, the Italian Ambassador to Afghanistan and Afghan police officials. McFarland said: "Right now, the Afghan National Police has established training capabilities and can take on responsibility for the training center." Afghan National Army (ANA) and Afghan National Police are making significant progress in planning and conducting its own operations with full independence from ISAF forces.
In your opinion, what could be done to better assist Afghan National Security Forces to exceed the expectations of Afghan people?
    Respectfully,
