  • Zimbabwe bat, Tamim returns

Toss Zimbabwe chose to bat v Bangladesh

Zimbabwe opted to bat first for the third match in a row in the Twenty20 tri-series at Harare Sports Club. A buoyant home team stormed past South Africa in a clinical performance yesterday and chose to stick with their winning combination, fielding an unchanged team.
Bangladesh, shorn of their best player in Shakib Al Hasan, must win this match to stand any chance of making the final of the series on Sunday. The return of Tamim Iqbal to their playing XI will add a little flair to their top order, the opener replacing Jahurul Islam in the line-up.
Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim suggested his side would have wanted to bat first on what looked like another dry winter track, which will probably slow up this afternoon and offer assistance to Zimbabwe's spin duo, Graeme Cremer and Prosper Utseya - they took a collective 4 for 56 in their combined eight overs against South Africa.
Zimbabwe top the points table with eight points, and will be assured of a place in Sunday's final if they continue their winning streak today. A lacklustre Bangladesh are yet to win a match on this tour.
Zimbabwe 1 Hamilton Masakadza, 2 Vusi Sibanda, 3 Brendan Taylor (capt & wk), 4 Stuart Matsikenyeri, 5 Craig Ervine, 6 Elton Chigumbura, 7 Graeme Cremer, 8 Prosper Utseya, 9 Kyle Jarvis, 10 Chris Mpofu, 11 Richard Muzhange.
Bangladesh 1 Tamim Iqbal, 2 Anamul Haque, 3 Mohammad Ashraful, 4 Mushfiqur Rahim (capt & wk), 5 Mahmudullah, 6 Nasir Hossain, 7 Ziaur Rahman, 8 Mashrafe Mortaza, 9 Elias Sunny, 10 Abul Hasan, 11 Abdul Razzak.
Bismillah, alhamdulillah, all praises due to Allah and may Allah increase the honor of Prophet Muhammad and protect our nation from any harm.
