Support for Afghan Educators and Future Leaders

Educating the youth of Afghanistan is imperative for economic growth and maintaining stability. Similarly, to meet international educational standards, teacher training programs are just as necessary and important. Fortunately, with U.S. government support and the help of international donors Afghanistan’s Ministry of Higher Education is able to provide advanced degree programs to support the careers of teaching professionals. One particular program established through USAID and the University of Massachusetts is the Master of Educational Leadership and Management program which helps educators’ develop leadership skills, managerial capabilities, and the ability to improve the quality of education throughout Afghanistan.
