Two NATO Soldiers Killed In Afghanistan

5/2/2012 7:11 AM ET
(RTTNews) - Two service-members of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) died in an IED (improvised explosive device) attack in eastern Afghanistan on Wednesday.
An ISAF press release did not disclose the victims' nationality deferring casualty identification procedures to the relevant national authorities.
With this, the total number of foreign troop casualties in Afghanistan this year rose to 140.
Meanwhile, several Taliban and Haqqani militants were arrested in Afghan-led and coalition supported security force operations in the country on Wednesday.
The joint force discovered a weapons cache during a routine patrol in Ab Band district, Ghazni province, on Tuesday. The cache consisted of 925 kilograms of homemade explosive materials and multiple IED-making components.
