The day after details of the IAEA report on Iran was made public, Russia announced that it may build several nuclear power plants in Bushehr. The topic was raised by prime minister Putin at a government session. The head of Rosatom, Sergei Kirienko, said this was being looked into and shouldn't cause any concern in the international community, Gazeta.ru reports.
Russia began construction of the Bushehr plant in 1995, after which it remained unfinished for 20 years. Sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic by the USA following the 1979 revolution, thwarting the building of the first project by Siemens Kraftwerk Union. The plant was eventually launched in August this year.
Tougher sanctions are now being threatened against the country. The IAEA report on Wednesday confirmed that Iran was working on acquiring nuclear weapons up until 2003, and there are signs of such work continuing.The building of nuclear plants in Iran would not violate international agreements, the president of The Middle East Institute Evgeniy Satanovski said, as long as Russia observed the agreements on nuclear non-proliferation, and that questions as to the rights to build more units were purely motivated by competition
Iran plans to increase its energy generation by 20 times in the next 20 years, representing $75 to $80 billion dollars, Radjab Safarov of the Centre for Contemporary Iranian Studies points out. Unconfirmed reports say that Iran may allow Russia to buils a further 5 atomic stations in Iran.

when you look at Iran now, you should understand that free and independent Afghanistan will be a Sunni Sharia version of Iran based on its government, economy, security, education, etc.

Nothing can stop Sharia governments from moving forward in the world- nothing. Western economic collapse has gone hand in hand with Islamic spring in the Muslim world. Western nations have no choice but to change their meddling ways with the Muslim world, and should start begging for OIL.

Iran will use it´s weapons against Afghanistan to give orders in the region! Don´t be naive.

what makes you think Afghanistan will not be a nuclear power in the future? It is in the interest of all peace and freedom loving nations to become nuclear powers for peaceful purposes. Is it not clear that nuclear powered nations are never attacked by other nations?

Is it not clear to you that every freedom loving nation in the world should become nuclear powers so as to deter other war supporters from starting wars and interfering in other peoples lands?

If every nation in the world was a nuclear power, there will be peace and harmony throughout. Deterrence is the best way forward towards a peaceful world where there will never be hegemony.

How come the West can not attack North Korea, Iran, and Pakistan? Why did the West attack Iraq but not North Korea? The answer is simple. Iraq did not have any meaningful deterrence to prevent war supporters from starting wars.

it appears nations like Russia and China are avidly building nuclear power plants for many nations. I think this is done in order to thwart the West from ever interfering in the East again.

Afghanistan is too far away of having an industry. What make Afghanistan able to have a nuclear weapon? We can not control our own home and accept our own people, how to control such a weapon and who will guarantee us that we won´t use it against our own? Afghanistan and nuclear power? Never

Obviously Afghanistan has been held back due to outside interference, this is why it is important that Afghanistan be left alone. Afghanistan needs its freedom and independence. This is the single most important thing in the history of the world. An end to foreign occupation and the gaining of independence is the first step to Afghan prosperity, and future power. There is no other way.

Afghanistan needs to be left alone, and then it will progress to that stage.

Western expats should not return on the backs of foreign occupations because they have then committed the gravest crime against Afghanistan which is high treason against the people.
