ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) has warned strong resistance against restoration of Nato supply routes to Afghanistan if the government bypasses the recommendations of the Parliament.
PML-N has alerted the government of crisis situation if government disrespects the Parliament after contempt of the apex court. Source in PML-N said during the parliamentary debate on the Nato supply lines, the Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS) had recommended some conditions for re-opening the supply routes which included an apology from the United States for the Salala incident and halting drone attacks, stopping of air routes violations, termination of verbal agreements and Pakistani land or air bases will not be used for foreign countries.
But U.S has not apologized so far, drone attacks are still continuing and air bases are still being used by foreign countries, so if government restores the Nato supply routes by overruling the recommendations of the Parliament, then government would face strong resistance, source in PML-N stated.
