don't know what to replace it with. but buzkashi certainly does seems outdated with regards to the animal's treatment. it's a game brought by the turks, but the concept of the game is good. maybe replace the animal with a non-living object.

to posters who said horses are treated ill. well horses are still used for sports in the west. horse ridings, and varius other sports. either way horses will go extinct if not used for any purporse.

Buzzkashi a good game overall, maybe change the live animal with a dead objecct. It's overall a very masculine sport, promotes team work, sportsmanship, and involves great strenght and skills.

You must be one of those PETA f*cktard hipsters. I guess this is what happens when you empower women too much: they will try to turn the world into some sort of gay effeminate paradise lol

Buzkashi is great the way it is. Its an old game for MEN. Love it or hate, but it aint going anywhere.

Anyway our national game de facto is kushti. I have been wrestling since I was 5 years old. As Shapur pointed out, its a great game that encourages strength, self-improvement and manliness. Most of Afghans love it, no wonder so many Afghans here in the West are practicing contact games such as Muay Thai, Kick Boxing or Boxing. I was a huge fan of boxing and played it for many years.

Does anyone even know what they are talking about?

The animal used is just a stuffed skin...it's dead already. There's nothing barbaric about it. Horse riding is one of the most masculine and demanding things going and requires unique skill and practice.

I don't see anyone here condemning the use of leather, or criticizing other sports that involve horses like rodeos and horse racing.

Better buzkashi than a crap colonial game like cricket.

Wrestling is a damn good sport. No wonder every ancient culture practiced it. Anyone here ever try and fight a proper wrestler? Damn they are hard to beat.
