Khushal Khushal ma ra wem, ba Kabul jan ma ra wem....


I do wish, Afghanistan prospers again.

My mom told me stories how Kabul looked better than America. How it was a very safe city. No warlords, no extremists, the policemen were majority tall Pashtun men, with so much respect. The voice of Ahmad Zahir was played everywhere. People were well educated, respected, and professional workers. Even woman once wore skirts

It is sad to see and hear all of these stories from our parents, on how beautiful and azaad Afghanistan was. A dream that has been taken away from them, but a dream in which we all crave to have.


I have photos of my dads sisters that wore long skirts, buttoned up shirts, beautiful hair that was let down, walking to Kabul University, with no thoughts of what was going to happen next.

My father told me, in the 60's and 70's Afghans were into fashion, they wore bell bottom jeans, lol and listened to the Beattles.
