I had to take it out of the frame, it is a black/white on archival paper which has brown tones, but after scanning it, it didn't show up very well, so yes, I tried to make it look a bit like the paper photo-sorry if it didn't quite work. the original is better.

i don't think pictures should come with descriptions. the message behind it shouldn't be given to some one that easily. a photographer should present it in such a way that the viewer is deceived by thinking they are relating to the photo while in reality they are just having a reaction which they are able to walk away with. after all, the idea is to give them something to look at and a glance is not all it should be worth of.

DZJ a picture needs it's context. If not, it would be impossible to understand it's intention.
If Zayam has pic of a poor child and someone wants to donate they won't know which country or family to donate to because there was no description.

i hope you are kidding. every photographer's objective is not gathering material for charity. good photography doesn't need substance outside it's frames as it beats the purpose. by the way, how about donate to the nearest poor child you can reach out to rather than stalking the poor child's origin from the picture? the idea is to feed the hunger not the child.

on a totally different note, some of us don't like being spoon fed.

^i am one of those who would post picture of something terrible that is happening in the world... and only for spreading the word. i admire photography, and videography for the sole purpose of its ability to deliver a message without any words. as they say "a picture is worth a thousand words"... While i wholeheartedly agree with you that such saddening pictures should not be glorified, i have yet to see the reason to give up posting such pictures... this spreads awareness... and we can not be certain that anyone in any corner of the world will not be inspired and do something positive... as little as it may be.

WOW, Nokia that was great of the pomegranates. I have never seen them growing before. Just a short time ago, though I had some pomegranate juice.

I truly appreciate picture of nature and laboring the fields. When I lived in Austria my favorite things was working in the orchards-such a feeling to see the basket get fuller and fuller.

Between my mom says; herpes on the lips, thats often comes from fever or hot temperatures of your body. Herpes does not have to be from dirty behaviors but in other words; if you touch dirty object and you didn't wash your hands and then touch your lips thats also occur from your hands viruses.

Well, I couldnt take your example of how to look civilised, since you want my head on a plate, addicted to salt and hate everyone on here but I will let that comment pass, you see to some people long hair is beautiful but to some a zig zaggy short back and sides looks attractive, I try to stay and keep myself natural, I am not too into the Vale kind of Look, I think it looks to Persian to me.

decent men where i come from don't keep their hair that long. some of our qandari men have long hair but well groomed, nice and clean. i don't understand what the point of "look at me, i just walked out of a cave!!" is but o well, that is you. :smile1:

Well your highness, most of us in Waziristan are Pashtuns and not born from War booty, so please understand, we were never occupied by Persia, so we still remain as we were, let time tell, but hey, your Prophet Mohammad also had long hair, did you know that, so in essence, it is sunnah to keep long hair right as long as its all one length.
