This is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Its near the Buddha statues in Bamiyan. There are 6 lakes joining together to make Bande Amir.

I had one of these pictures on my wall and looked at it every day before I took off for Afghanistan to help Mujahideen against the Soviet invasion, just because the country is so beautiful and the people I figured would be nice to match the rare topography.
