I am his direct descendant.

I wish and pray to God I can do something for Afghan unity, progress and development. That is my aim. :)

Khushal Khan Khattak, I begin by apologising for this extremely late reply. It took me a while to reply, not only because I've been very busy with university assessments, but because I thought, I've taken so long, now what I say should be worth a read (which, as you say, I have lost my writing, so I doubt it).

To be honest, I don't know where to start with you. You're one of a kind, unique in your thinking, bold in your approach and caring and soft to the core. You've always been quick to notice things, to sympathise with people, to accept different view points, and even if something shatters your glass, you are quick to mend it and move on; a characteristic one should learn from you. Your contributions here are always worth a read, and each and everyone have been read. You are an individual with strong principles as you demonstrate consistency in standing by your beliefs as a Muslim and values as a Pashtun. We are lucky to have you among us. Way to go Brother.

And, before I forget, Congratulations. :)

Khattaks originated in Logar and Ghazni Afghanistan.

Yup, Thanx hindupasthun bro! your'e definitely correct, Ghazni and Logar are the old core areas of the Khattaks.

I always had this fascination with visiting these areas, Inshallah in the future maybe I will get the chance.
