Lucky them. The only reason why it came less expensive this term because I am renting my textbooks from the bookstore. So each book was only $100-200. I am so happy now lol

I am studying Biology.....so because i am in the science department, its more pricey. Especially with lab fees. Science books are always more expensive......you have to buy the textbook, the lab book, the student manual, and atlas :/

here normally the semester fee for engineering/bba is like $625
for biology i mean like mbbs etc as I don't know any further specific field of biology for mbbs if you are studying in a govt institution which are the best and you are selected there on merit than you have just to pay $12 per year for two semesters :p
and if you are studying there on self finance means if you are a dull student than $1200 whereas the private institutes are less expensive and are not supposed to be that much good for the purpose

For college, the local, and state are running dry of money. So colleges raise prices to the student. When I first entered community college in 2005 a class cost 350. Know it's about 500, and Math/Science costing about 600. Not counting the textbooks which are 150-200$ each. Then the 150$ graphic calculator. Fuhgetaboutit.

This semester I only paid like $120 for textbooks.. Thank God for two-semester sequences and textbooks that are used for two semesters. Next semester it's gonna be crazy, I saw the textbook, lab manual and molecule kit and stuff for O Chem at the book store, it was for $500!! :woot:

Ha ha ha yeah i think almost every Afghan family is like that. Meat is such a big deal. My parents prefer like banjan, shalgham, karela, kachaloo, lubya, sabzi etc. I think my mom cooks qurma/meat only 1 or 2 times a week


Oh and dont you hate it when you are a guest, and the host family usually the mother, piles meat on your plate for you. And you kinda look at it as if you dont know what to do with it

worried about my cousin shes been diagnosed with cancer shes too young to die shes only 24 how can this happen her little babies need her .
