Do you have one? Or know anyone who does? What do you think of it? Just picking up some advice before I consider it.

I have used the 500D for a good six months for many projects. It's a great camera, but, I am one for petite things. The Bloggie, too, is a camera, a camcorder to be precise. AUD: 179. Depends on the features too. Either way, it's pretty cheap.

After researching the camera, I have realized it's worth it's money. The only con I see is that it loses it's charge quickly, and that it doesn't perform as good we we would want at 1080p.

Coming from a techy like yourself, that is good to know.The main reason I am looking into this is because I need something that I can work with myself for something as complex as interviews and documentaries. I'll continue my research. Thanks for letting me know. =)

Flip Side and Kodak are big in the Mini HD Camcoder market, Kodak ones offer good costumer experience behind them

The Bloggie model (mhs-pm5) you are looking at isn't worth it, doesn't have Zoom and no close focus, video quality is horrible and bad on battery shabby

Pay 40 bucks more and get the The Bloggie mhs-cm5, it is one of the best ones out there, good battery life, solid 1080p rez and over-all a solid product

Also it uses a Lithium Ion battery, you can easily get those..put one on the charger and use the other one on the go..plus you can upload stuff to youtube directly from it

But do not buy the one in the pic its a piece of crap, you will regret it

Talal: I added the picture to give readers an idea of what I am talking about (sounded like another blogging thread if one wasn't too familiar with this camera). It wasn't the exact model I was referring to. But thank you for the information. Definitely going to consider it.

I would have told you to buy the Cisco Flip and get you a discount on it (since I work for the company) but hands down the Bloggie has better features....
