Hasay Yu Tapos KA Mashrana Bya KAndhar ta warkey sanga ba wi ?>.... Roshina 02-19-2011, 12:08 AM OMG!!!! KANDAHAR!!! I'm like SO freaking in love with this place and its people for some reason now!!! I met a Kandahari family at a (Pukhtun) wedding today, and I couldn't hold back my excitement! I'm sure they thought I was crazy, but I didn't care :smile1: We talked! We exchanged phone numbers! We expressed happiness over meeting and all! We also talked of Flushing, NY, with the largest Kandahari population ... and it was SO GOOD!!!
Ahhhh!!!! Roshina 02-19-2011, 12:13 AM Oh - and I had them talk in Kandahri accent so I could squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! And they did :smile1: And I TOTALLY understood them! And they understood my dialect fully as well! OMG, I can't wait to see them again soon, ka khairee!
And our ideals are like totally the same as well, which was so liberating to know 'cause it's tough to find Pukhtuns like that around here. Gosh, it was such a happy moment! Yeah my mothers relatives find it very easy to understand my father's dialect which derives from a village on the outskirts of Qandahar... however, the Wazir dialect of my wife's family, despite its emphasis on a sheen dialect is difficult as heck to understand at times (.e.g the Yusufzai dialect speakers say something like fkhyablaa fkhpaay and my father in law says "ebla pshaay"). I know there is a wazirvola thread, but even the Mehsud dialect can be hard to understand. If I did not have any link to the shin dialect through my dad, I think I would have had little to any idea of what the Wazirs or Mehsuds were saying.

Sorry for the dangerous video post, but its the clearest example I can find. How much of this can you make it out? I can make out about 95% of it when I stop and listen closely. BarakzaiAbdali 02-19-2011, 12:25 AM ^ Meaning I think its actually easier for Peshwaryaan to understand Qandaharyaan and vice versa than any of us understanding the FATA folks. Janana 02-19-2011, 03:30 AM Very beautiful pics and well taken too. roadrunner 02-20-2011, 08:56 PM Afghanistan is all rock and rubble and destroyed. But I still find it an awesome place to look at.
There's not too many places in the world I could say that about. vBulletin® v3.8.5, Copyright ©2000-2013, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
