first, i would like to say that the US and NATO as well as their puppet government are actively pursuing a depopulation of the country.

since Afghanistan has a pretty high growth rate which if continued would nearly double the population in a decade or two, the US is trying to enforce birth control upon the masses, they decline to vaccinate Pakhtun-populated regions, and when all else fails they simply bomb entire villages to rubble.


Some useful modern advancements in helping the healthy growth/success of the population include vaccination campaigns, sewage/wastewater treatment, irrigation canals, safe disposal of biohazardous/toxic material (by factories, hospitals, etc), mine-clearing as GYE said.

also, it would help if US and NATO left, thus putting a stop to civilian bombardments and suicide bombings.

A time machine would be the most usefull, so we could go back in time and advise the Carter administration against manipulating the soviets into invading afghanistan and the Reagan administration agaisnt the etremization of the afghan population in the pakistani refugee camps. Istead of building madrasas to teach the population wahabi extremeist idealogy, they could teach them proper courses.
