Men: 15 ways to lose Fat Faster
    By: Zeina Foda
    1. Drink more water - Having more water rids your body of toxins and makes you feel full before meals, therefore cutting down your food intake. Overall, without enough water, all our body functions slow down so whether you’re trying to lose weight or not, make sure you drink enough water everyday.
    2. Drink tea - this will fill you up, increase your metabolism and cleans up your body inside out! A great way to lose fat as long as you don’t have too much sugar to go with it.
    3. Eat more protein - doing so will increase your metabolism and help with muscle recovery post-workouts. If you can, have a source of protein in every meal.
    4. Increase your fibre - the more fibre you have, the more full you will feel. This will help you escape the urge to succumb to or even have bad food cravings.
    5. Do full body exercises - to ensure that you're burning fat in your entire body without leaving an area behind.
    6. Eat more vegetables and fruits - these are filled with tons of natural sugars, fibers and proteins that will keep you full but are low in calories. They will also undoubtedly give you many more health benefits such as better skin, stronger immune system and more energy.
    7. Exercise in the morning - start your day with exercising so that you don’t risk having no time or energy for it later.
    8. Lift weights - burn the fat away faster through vigorous weight exercise and gain muscles as a plus!
    9. Eat breakfast - a nice big healthy breakfast is very important because it gives your energy to last through your day. Having breakfast also increases your metabolism.
    10. Skip high calorie foods and beverages - these things are probably filled with preservatives and artificial ingredients that could damage your body. Not to mention the refined sugar that is stored as fat in your body.
    11. Switch to healthy snacks - whenever you’re hungry in between main meals, opt for a healthier snack such as almonds or green vegetables as opposed to unhealthy food.
    12. Grill and bake your food as opposed to frying it - that why you can avoid fat from vicious oils that do more harm than good to your body.
    13. Go for walks more often - just 30 minutes of walking everyday can do wonders to losing fat in your body. It not only keeps you in better shape but it will also elevate your mood.
    14. Eat oats for breakfast - less calories and a healthier alternative to any other sugar filled breakfast!
    15. Eat slower - it take at least 15 mins for your stomach to know that it is full so eat slower in order to give it more time to signal how full it is to your brain in order to avoid over-eating.

Very simple but useful tips. Just practice it.

While traveling around the world, I am noticing food habits in different countries and I am surprised that our food habits are extremely unhealthy. For example

    1. There is no food without bread. We eat more bread than the actual food with protein and vitamins/minerals. Bread is extremely dangerous.

    2. We eat meat, pulses, vegetables with bread by sucking bread into the curry etc. Why not we eat with forks and just eat a piece of dry bread not the soaked bread.

    3. Sugar is highly dangerous but we drink tea with many spoons of sugar. I am not taking tea with spoon. Try it. It is very very relaxing and even tasty without sugar. Just make it a habit, tea without sugar.

    4. Salad leaves or lettuce is not part of our meals. Very bad. Salad must be always there on the table.

    5. We eat fruit after meals. This is extremely dangerous for health. Eat fruit before meals. Similarly water must be drunk before meals never never after.

    6. We almost eat the same food every day. We must try new dishes not the same bread with curry and meat all the times.

    7. Food is not part of religion so do not leave balanced food for your search of the so called Halal food. I see many people eating pizzas and potato chips for weeks when their Halal food is not available. Enjoy Macdonald burgers of all types and delicious food in the foreign restaurants. Food should be healthy and balanced. Faith has nothing to do with food.

    8. Food is medicine. Food prevents many diseases so always healthy and balanced food must be sought. It is like oil for car. If you good oil, you have good car and hence no visits to mechanic shops or clinics. Our people face many diseases because of wrong food habits. Frying food is very common which must be stopped. Our homes must have for grilling or baking food not just frying it.

    9. Pulses or vegetables are considered lower food by ignorant and arrogant Pashtuns. Beef is highly dangerous. Just in your pride to be a Pashtun, it is not neecssary to have a high intake of meat. Punjabis and Indians are better performing than Pashtuns.

    10. Pashtun men must also cook and wash plates. Women and men are equal in kitchen, bedroom, office and every where.

This is not my feeling of inferiority but observing other people I suggest reforms for Pashtuns. Size of belly of Pashtun men and women is concealed in the lose attire. This is why I like tight clothes so that you cannot hide your belly which is the store house of all fats.

I do not why we like this much Shalwar Kameez? Is it a way to deceive our selves that we are not fat? Women because of their sedentary habits of living the whole life in 4 walls and having lose clothes are alway obese.

I agree with you and very useful tips you have given except for criticizing the halal food unnecessarily. Good

Just forget about your religious sentiments for a while and think over the subject matter of food purely from medical, scientific, nutritional and hygienic angles.

What food has to do with religion or faith or worship or morality? Food is for body not for soul. If a butcher slaughter an animal in the so called Halal way but the animal is not healthy, or the meat is with a lot of diseases or germs or pathogens or the meat is unclean, does its being Halal make it eatable or edible?

On the other hand you have non halal food but it is healthy and balanced. So what is bad in eating that food or that meat? Will you become a lesser Muslim by eating that? What Iman or belief has to do with your food or your diet?

Yes in Quran, the logic is there when non Muslims used to slaughter animals on the name of their gods and not God or Allah, so it was prohibited. But now a days you know that people do not slaughter animals on the name of any god or God. They just slaughter the animal to eat it not to dedicate it to God or god or perform a religious ritual. Now a days religion is in Church or mosque not in restaurants or slaughter houses. 1400 years have passed. Now we do not have the infidels of Mecca.

My conclusion is that food must be clean, balanced and hygienic. Its being Halal or no halal doers not matter. If you wants to thank God or remember God for giving you the food just say Allah o Akbar or Bismillah and eat whatever you have. This will make your life simple and easy.

grana, When a specialist doctor tells you not to eat this food and that food, what you do ? you do not do further research but act upon what had has told you and you blindly believe in his words because he has already done some research or studies about the matter. remember Allah is creator of all the doctors and specialists and researchers of this world. Allah is the supreme doctor. So he knows the best which food is good for our health and which is not. Please don't turn everything against the teachings of Allah.

stop staring at people's wives, daughters or husband's bellies.
and yes, those dresses are meant to conspire against men or individuals like you by leaving you in dark about the actual waist liner bellies of women regarding the size
of whom you have no business being concerned about in the first place.
go on, write a fancy assed article about evil islam depriving innocent and helpless pashtun women from their right to show case their bellies in public.

              tauba.

Please read the following verses of Quran and you will find that only cleanliness and name of God are the two criteria for good food. All good and clean things are allowed. Even pork if it is clean can be eaten according to these verses. The food of the ahle kitab, people of the book(non Muslims) is also allowed.

I am a positive minded person this is why for me in a positive way every clean and balanced food is halal. I am not an extremist negative Muslim who negate eating clean food even if Quran allows it.

                1- Chapter: 6 , Verse: 145

say: i do not find in that which has been revealed to me anything forbidden for an eater to eat of except that it be what has died of itself, or blood poured forth, or flesh of swine-- for that surely is unclean-- or that which is a transgression, other than (the name of) allah having been invoked on it; but whoever is driven to necessity, not desiring nor exceeding the limit, then surely your lord is forgiving, merciful

                2- Chapter: 16 , Verse: 114

therefore eat of what allah has given you, lawful and good (things), and give thanks for allah's favor if him do you serve

                3- Chapter: 16 , Verse: 115

he has only forbidden you what dies of itself and blood and flesh of swine and that over which any other name than that of allah has been invoked, but whoever is driven to necessity, not desiring nor exceeding the limit, then surely allah is forgiving, merciful

                4- Chapter: 16 , Verse: 116

and, for what your tongues describe, do not utter the lie, (saying) this is lawful and this is unlawful, in order to forge a lie against allah; surely those who forge the lie against allah shall not prosper

                5- Chapter: 5 , Verse: 3

forbidden to you is that which dies of itself, and blood, and flesh of swine, and that on which any other name than that of allah has been invoked, and the strangled (animal) and that beaten to death, and that killed by a fall and that killed by being smitten with the horn, and that which wild beasts have eaten, except what you slaughter, and what is sacrificed on stones set up (for idols) and that you divide by the arrows; that is a transgression. this day have those who disbelieve despaired of your religion, so fear them not, and fear me. this day have i perfected for you your religion and completed my favor on you and chosen for you islam as a religion; but whoever is compelled by hunger, not inclining willfully to sin, then surely allah is forgiving, merciful

                6- Chapter: 5 , Verse: 4

they ask you as to what is allowed to them. say: the good things are allowed to you, and what you have taught the beasts and birds of prey, training them to hunt-- you teach them of what allah has taught you-- so eat of that which they catch for you and mention the name of allah over it; and be careful of (your duty to) allah; surely allah is swift in reckoning

                7- Chapter: 5 , Verse: 5

this day (all) the good things are allowed to you; and the food of those who have been given the book is lawful for you and your food is lawful for them; and the chaste from among the believing women and the chaste from among those who have been given the book before you (are lawful for you); when you have given them their dowries, taking (them) in marriage, not fornicating nor taking them for paramours in secret; and whoever denies faith, his work indeed is of no account, and in the hereafter he shall be one of the losers

                8- Chapter: 6 , Verse: 118

therefore eat of that on which allah's name has been mentioned if you are believers in his communications

                9- Chapter: 6 , Verse: 119

and what reason have you that you should not eat of that on which allah's name has been mentioned, and he has already made plain to you what he has forbidden to you-- excepting what you are compelled to; and most surely many would lead (people) astray by their low desires out of ignorance; surely your lord-- he best knows those who exceed the limits

                10- Chapter: 6 , Verse: 121

and do not eat of that on which allah's name has not been mentioned, and that is most surely a transgression; and most surely the shaitans suggest to their friends that they should contend with you; and if you obey them, you shall most surely be polytheists

                11- Chapter: 5 , Verse: 87

o you who believe! do not forbid (yourselves) the good things which allah has made lawful for you and do not exceed the limits; surely allah does not love those who exceed the limits

                12- Chapter: 5 , Verse: 88

and eat of the lawful and good (things) that allah has given you, and be careful of (your duty to) allah, in whom you believe

                13- Chapter: 5 , Verse: 90

o you who believe! intoxicants and games of chance and (sacrificing to) stones set up and (dividing by) arrows are only an uncleanness, the shaitan's work; shun it therefore that you may be successful

                14- Chapter: 5 , Verse: 96

lawful to you is the game of the sea and its food, a provision for you and for the travellers, and the game of the land is forbidden to you so long as you are on pilgrimage, and be careful of (your duty to) allah, to whom you shall be gathered

                15- Chapter: 10 , Verse: 59

say: tell me what allah has sent down for you of sustenance, then you make (a part) of it unlawful and (a part) lawful. say: has allah commanded you, or do you forge a lie against allah?

                16- Chapter: 16 , Verse: 14

and he it is who has made the sea subservient that you may eat fresh flesh from it and bring forth from it ornaments which you wear, and you see the ships cleaving through it, and that you might seek of his bounty and that you may give thanks

                17- Chapter: 7 , Verse: 31

o children of adam! attend to your embellishments at every time of prayer, and eat and drink and be not extravagant; surely he does not love the extravagant

                18- Chapter: 23 , Verse: 51

o messengers! eat of the good things and do good; surely i know what you do

                19- Chapter: 2 , Verse: 168

o men! eat the lawful and good things out of what is in the earth, and do not follow the footsteps of the shaitan; surely he is your open enemy

                20- Chapter: 40 , Verse: 79

allah is he who made the cattle for you that you may ride on some of them, and some of them you eat

I was talking of the bellies of both Muslim/Pashtun men and women. I am most of the time in Europe or West, so no need to look at the lines of the fat Pashtun or Muslim women. I just suggested in a positive way that loose dress is a way to hide your huge bag of belly. If you use tight clothes , you will be conscious of the storage of the amount of fats in your abdomen.

let's be serious here for a little while.
you know as well as i, that to make the assumption that pashtun men or women wear loose clothing to hide their fatness would be an ignorant remark for anyone to make. a person who has no knowledge of the fact that a vast majority of afghans or pashtuns are muslims and dressing up a certain way is a part of their culture or religion, making such a remark can be excused, considering thier lack of knowledge regarding the subject. you being an afghan and an individual who has some understanding of the matter, should be the last person to make that mistake. i honestly refuse to believe that you are that ignorant.
so why do you make it seem like you are?? feeding one's desire for constantly being on the opposite side of the fence is alot more rewarding, enjoyable and productive when you don't abandon your grasp of basic common sense.
in the long run you may have good points and many amazing ideas but no one will listen to you and they will be of no use to you, yourself or anyone else if you don't present them with the due amount of respect and sincerity. this is what they mean when they say, be honest to yourself.

having said that, who wants to look at a fat person dressed in tight or revealing cloths regardless of which cultural background they come from?? not to mention, the majority of westerners don't keep fit for health but aesthetic reasons. when was the last time a typical pashtun girl stuck her toothbrush down her throat to throw up her dinner so she could fit in to a new dress for that party she has to attend over the weekend??

This is my main argument that religion has nothing to do with dress and dress styles change with changes in cultures. Now Pashtun women do not put on clothes which their grandmothers sued to wear. The size is becoming shorter and smaller. The same goes for men. Who is nowadays using those big turbans of 100 yards of cloth? Small is beautiful now.
