Yama (Yima), the first lord of Airyanem Vaejah was the son of Vivanhant - the first mortal human who prepared Haoma/Soma. Later Yama was called Khshaeta - shining/ brillant.
Yama - this name comes from Avestan and Jamshid is its Persian equivalent.

Khshaeta is an interesting word. Its still used as a male name among Pashtuns with different spellings like KHAYASTA, SHAAYSTA, KHESHTA etc
