Default Typically Pashto word roots - 07-30-2012, 04:20 PM

I have a question! Il the word Khel, I often meet in descriptions of Pashtun tribes a real Pashto word?
I discovered an interesting fact today.

In the Lezgi language Khel means tribe too.

For further use You can use this theme to discuss any wordroots.

Have you ever heard about the new theory that caucasian languages are not related. The similarities come from that the speakers live in the same environment and had the same conqueror.

I havn'T, but it is quiet possible, also the languages are very different and incomprensible.
When You talk in Avar You cannot understand Lezgi....
Also the cultural background is quiet different.
However at least the recent conquerors if even have left some words in the languages, you can still understand that not these languages made them similar.

Look for example the difference between Avar and Lezgi:

Unlike Farsi, Arabic, Urdu, Pashto can never be properly learned on the internet or directly as there are many dialects and anyone can tell if someone has an accent or a false dialect.

In short, there is no such thing as standard pashto as there is standard Arabic.

That is the great thing about pashto.

If someone does not know it naturally, it can never be made natural...

Imran Khan is a Niazi. Are you related?

It is great that Pashto can not be perfected by your American/Paki/Awghan friends who indulge in Pashtun bloodshed.
