Default Newbie Learning Pashto - 08-09-2012, 08:15 PM

Hello Comrades!

Is there any where I can learn Pushto online? I'm a Baloch and I've been brought up in Quetta, Pakistan. A home to thousands of Good-looking Pashtun people. I know a couple of dialogs, such as dalta rassa, izma plar khar na diye, lol ista mor etc pinza dana dodi raka etc. So I know how these sentences are formed, But I want to give myself a detailed explanation. I really want to learn it since I have the accent of speaking it and it would add up to my language list (I know Urdu, Balochi, Brahui, English).

So I'd like to work on Pashto (My Grandfather knows pashto and I've seen him speaking it all the time since his mother was a Pashtoon lol). So can you guys please give me a portal or a playlist where I can learn Pashto online since it would be easier for me to learn it?

Thanks!! And Have a good day!!

I take great pride in the brave Baluch. Welcome.

Take a look in our Pashto language section and our library.

I'm also pretty familiar with chalo bowry and Satellite town.

Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

-Ferishta, 1560–1620
