Welcome aboard.

Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

So... it looks like the Neo-Nazis won 7.3 % of the seats.

If no problem with forum rules, i am gonna answer to an armenian friend's questions to my native tongue, as he asked me in my native tongue too.

This was an exit poll... in the final results Golden Dawn(the nationalist movement) got 7%. In such a period of economic, social and generally national crisis when governments turn them back to people then people choose for them other powers which either are either pretend to be by the side of people. This is a natural procedure, so either the governors have to take on seriously the critical situation in Greece, either they are gonna give up and new powers are gonna come in the politics.

The so called "socialist" party of Greece(PASOK) which signed for the disasterous economic masses towards greek people has taken in these elections around 14% while in the previous elections around 44% .
Golden dawn has taken in previous elections 0.29%(while now 7%) and the second party now which is SYRIZA(a left ideology organization) has taken in elections of 2009 4.60%, while now 17%.

You can imagine by these statistics how angry feel the greek people...

Iskader Khan,
Why do the Greek people blame Germany for most of their current economical problems?

Hmm... this is a complicated subject too.
Well, the main matter is that Germany has a leader position in the EU and presses a lot for the economic masses
that have to be taken for Greece, so a lot of people have antigermanic feelings cause of this matter.

But i am not agree with these feelings, as the money and them carriers who rule the world (the bankers) have no land either national feelings.
So the leader of the present germanic state is just a pawn, as most of the leaders of Europe are(and not only in Europe of course). It has not to
do strickly with Germany i mean if someone thinks seriously about this matter.

Also, even if i am not Afghan and not well informed and aware as you of course about the matters of your country, as i have in mind,
i think that your present government too is a puppet of Americans in the service of foreign imperialists and not in the service of Afghan people.

do greek citizens have beef with turkey or is that just a political thing between governments?

There is nothing in our book, the Qur'an, that teaches us to suffer peacefully. Our religion teaches us to be intelligent. Be peaceful, be courteous, obey the law, respect everyone; but if someone lays a hand on you, send him to the cemetery. That's a good religion.

For the first, excuse me fo the question, I never met a Greek Muslim from Greece.
I have met Muslims from Komotini, but as I understood they seem to have Turkish roots(as they had Turkish surnames and spoke Turkish as their native language). Also I knew some Greeks from Georgia, saying that tey are Muslims, but for sure they ddn't know even much about Islam(at least those people who I met, what is surely due to the general post-Sovietic loose of memory and knowledge among the people of ths region).
About the name, You are right, it is quiet close to Alekos. Some even call me Aleq.
About our relations - well I think You are surely right about the general relations between Greece and Armenia - today they are perhaps mor based on religious and some historical motives(mostly due to the probems with Turkey).

Me personally, I have been several times in Greece, some times for short periods and one time for exchange for 7 month, during that time I learned a bit Greek at the University of Thessaloniki.
Me, I am not Muslim neither Christian, but a follower of the traditional belief way of Armenians. As we are few, You perhaps do not know about us.
However there is a not small Muslim comunity among Armenians living in Turkey(arround cities like Hopa, Rize, Kemalpasha, Hemshin, Ordu), they are called Hamshen Armenians and migrated to that area from the area close to the Urmia lake in nowdays Iran with their gruler of Amatuni noble family.
Generally I found to have good relations with Greeks any place we met, also my Afghan friends I think established themselves almost good in Greece and had good relations with the people. For me personally we have quiet a number of culture that makes us close, perhaps even due to the ancient contacts between our nations.

With best wishes for You, Aliq
