Shaykh ‘Abd Allah bin Shaykh Muhammad bin ‘Abd al-Wahhab writes:


We do not negate the way of the Sufis and the purification of the inner self from the vices of those sins connected to the heart and the limbs as long as the individual firmly adheres to the rules of Shari‘ahand the correct and observed way.(Al-Hadiyyah al-Suniyyah)

Even the Imams of the Wahabis didn't categorically reject Tasawwuf.

It's sad to see their followers not following this way.

Who rejects purification of the heart when it is according to the Sunnah?

It is the kufr and shirk and bid'ah of the sufis which any Muslim should reject.

Since you seem keen to selective reading:

We do not negate the way of the Sufis

if the way of the Sufis was kufr, bid`ah, and shirk as you claim, then it seems your shuyookh felt it necessary to point out that they don't negate kufr, bid`ah, and shirk.

I once saw a Sufi. He was in some trance, and he told me that his Sheikh's spirit took him over, and that his Sheikh could see everyone in the room through his eyes.

Crazy, don't you think?

That's not a real Sufi, just a confused individual.
