It was a big faux pas. Most of the locals just came to see Imran Khan and the women who came from Islamabad. Many belonged to Punjab and FATA. The funniest thing was the song " Sindhi hum, Balochi hum...." to which most of the locals had feelings like "staso pa .....". Yes at the peak hour of the dharna the attendents never exceeded 5000. The event managers were disgusted.

I conveyed to one of the management guys [Shah Farman] that if you stop the drone attacks, who is going to get rid of the terrorists which Paki army has been harbouring in FATA for the past years. The dharna should be against the Pakistan military as all the drone attacks were executed with their permission [the base is in Balochistan].

Do we need reminding people that in 2011 or whatever astral calendar you choose to follow that racism, with all its harmful intent, still lives amongst us.

You don't build up your own argument by knocking an entire race of people or implying that belonging to a particular race or nationality somehow makes them less human.

What's so great about Karachi anyway? Last I heard people are being bumped off quite frequently because they happen to belong to the "wrong" ethnic group.
