I am aware about the Zazi connection, but the presence declined in paktya province. We had some in Zurmat district and in Zazi, but they were only a handful men. Paktyawals are taking care of Hekmatyar and his men, because we can't trust him. |

Plus its not just Zurmatis, there are even Zadran tribesmen who are still active as members of Hizb. In north Paktia, and Azrakyan still support Hizb. Similarly in Logar, there are quite a few villages of Ahmadzi who support Hizb. |

| there are alot of hezbi in paktia. hezbi are mostly opportunists that fight for the highest bidder. Hekmatyar would be with the government right now if the US invited him to bonn in 2001. But knowing his personality, he would want the highest or best seat. |

I agree there are some Zadrans aswell, but most of his supporters were from tribes based in Zazai and Zurmat, and north of Paktya,Logar and Kapisa both have a presence of Hizbe Islam.People who once supported him from Paktya or were member in his clan left all to join the Islamic Emirate. As i said, the locals do not trust him,he switchsides faster than the changing of the weather in Europe. One thing is for him clear, whenever he turns his weapon toward the Islamic emirate or his men,he will end up as we have seen other Warlords. |
