I find that as an insult, What if I am a good writer and have devoted my life to lets say politics rather then cooking? Why is it that in our Afghan culture we are so binded with cooking?

If Star cant cook guys wont marry her?

Jasmine how will they eat if she does not cook? Who will that burden belong to? To expect the husband to do all the cooking and work full time is crazy. Eating out and eating frozen dinners for the rest of life is not healthy for that couple or their children. I don't think it should matter if she is a gourmet cook but I think she should know how to make some things. She can always learn more later.

Every man is different and I am sure there are a few who wouldn't mind having a wife who does not cook at all

What if a woman says she cant cook at all, but she is willing to learn?
then she should learn before she decides to become my wife.

Trust me, no one would want you with that kind of mentality qualified or not.
Goodluck.

If the girl is nice and good I would hope that her desire to learn would be enough to accept her I thought you were trying to say that this girl NEVER wanted to cook EVER lol

a woman who cannot cook is like a man who cannot earn money to provide for his household.

A disabled person

In your case I would tell you to pray to God everyday that you don't become disabled and that your wife doesn't become the breadwinner when/if you lose your ability to earn money.

thats exactly my point. I am not crippled. And I do not depend on others. So therefor I gave that as an analogy.
