There is no tribe by name of Guru-zai, its a troll account. "Guru" is a spiritual teacher in Hinduism. In one of his post he wrote it as "Gurujai", which indicate that he is not from Kashmir but Hindu from mainland India where they pronounce z as j, e.g hazar is pronounced as hajar.

I have to Agree, as i have some relatives from my fathers side who are durrani. I must say that we have very few Relatives from my fathers side. both Guruzai(Z is widely used in Urdu but just like any other Indic language people here replace Z with J in koshur. we pronounce tribes in with both J and Z like Khilzai/Khiljai/Khilji , Durrani/Duuraani/darani, Popalzai/popajai, AchakZai/Achakjai etc etc.), Bamezai/Bamejai i guess we are part of very large Pashtun Tribe but over time we came our own sub tribe and later adopted native title as our sub tribe name ?

Guru,Ustad, palwan, Peshwa etc are persian names that are widely used by both Hindus/sikhs and Muslims as names and sirnames.

i guess we were part of Durranis who migrated here. mostlikely from popalzai tribe as you suggest and later some families adopted title GuruZai to show our Noble Birth compated to Native Kashmiris and those who did not stayed Durranis. thats why i guess half of our family is durrani and other half is GuruZai. my mothers Family is From Bamezai Tribe if it helps.

lol Guru is a title just like Raja, Rao, Ustad, Khan, Peshwa, Senapati, Palwan used by both Hindu,Sikh and Muslims.

and kashmiris used J in place of Z when we speak Koshur, i am talking about real kashmiris from valley. not those wannabe kashmiri Drividian poonjabis you have in your Countries.

Message to everyone. Especially those people of Indian origin whose ancestors were Pashtun.

BEING OF A CERTAIN TRIBE DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE OF "NOBLE BIRTH". PASHTUNS DONT HAVE THAT CONCEPT. THERE IS NO ONE PASHTUN TRIBE THAT IS ABOVE ANOTHER. Amongst Pashtuns that kind of talk leads to conflict.

Certain tribes have certain characteristics and habits, it does not make one tribe more "noble" than another.

I hope that's clear.
