But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

INSHALLAH darta nur hem goram

Shaysta khor lag ta hem dalta pam waka tata Parsi kha ezda mannna ba wi

Sorry for this unexpected interruption but there are hundreds maybe thousands. Pashtun activists and scholars already tried and did that 50 years ago (Wesh Zalmyan, Pashto Tolana). They wrote dictionaries and books on this, held seminars and debates. Some words cant be replaced because they are no more pashto words for it. There are also arabic words which came with Islam there are no more Pashto words for them.
