ofcourse, we have a term for such folks , "Gul Khans", while the majority of us are "gul marjans", half of us despise gul khans and mohajirs/punjabais.

Luckily some pro-pakistani pashtuns like ToughPashtun has gained respect from fellow gul marjans, despite holding a contrasting opinion (his pakistani identity), and he probably welcomes you with open arms more than anybody.

This forum used to be riddled with hardliners

i know some people are getting annoyed by Gul Khan .... please ! Let me use gul khan, it's not even an offensive word, it's just short form for proud-pakistani Pashtun because it contains less syllables and the human brain can only memorize 7 syllables per sentence, it's the similar to the word Torie used by british loyalists in the 13 colonies of america. For anyone getting angry, you're welcome to us gul marjan or gul shah in return. Gul Shah is a new word i used for pro-persian or Persianized Afghan Pashtuns.....

so gul khan is desified or pro pakistani pashtuns
gul marjan is pro-loy afghanistan Pashtuns
gul shah is dari persianised pashtuns

simple enough?
So Kanishka , I finally got called a 'Gul Khan'.
I am fine with that.
Just because someone is Pakistani , doesn't mean I am going to welcome them with open arms. It depends on how they behave over here. There are some non-Pashtuns here , though most of them are not Pakistani , but they post ridiculous stuff all the time about how they have this genes and that genes and this or that ancestry. Which annoys me like anything.
And why did you bother changing your username?

His Kanishka account was banned for making disrespectful comments about Islam and Rasulullah (salla Allahu alayhi was salam). Thatís why this one should be banned too. Not like he adds anything either. At least the other guys could be entertaining sometimes.

Depends what they look like, how they are dressed, what they are doing, what kind of Black person are they (Caribbean, African, African-American, Nigerian, Somali?), how old they are, so many factors.

And I'm not racist to black people. I think they are lovely people who may simply have some bad habits. They are not cunning or backstabbing, but have good hearts. I live in an area that has large number of black people, I've never been particularly bothered by them

Got It!
The first thing that goes through your mind is 'Black Person' or 'African'!
you see that's the first thing you think of.
Same way when we see someone from Political South Asia(minus KPK/Balochistan/Sino-Tibetan areas), the first thing that comes to our mind is 'Indian'. Some of us might be aware of the Bangladesh/India/Pakistan division(not the internal divisions), but still the first thing that pops in our mind is 'Indian'

The Reason for this type of thinking is simple, you guys were part of Historical India, and we(Afghans), Turks, British etc. treated you as such.
Also it is very hard to just forget that you guys are 'Indians', but we will call you 'Indian' forever(metaphorically speaking)...
Same way in Arabic Culture(and thanks to their invasions, in some Eastern cultures as well), all the Africans are called 'Habashi'(Ethiopian) if I am not mistaken. And they will be called as such forever, because it is a part of 'Lisan alArbi''/'Lughat ulArbi''.
In Conclusion, People don't change that much.

P.S. I have a lot of African friends(from Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Egypt, Morocco, Libya, Somalia etc.), and I am fully aware of the Ethnic differences in Africa. But still the very first thing that comes to my mind, when I see a 'Black Person', is 'African'.

I hope I cleared the point of lumping all of you together as 'Indians'.

No sir, all you proved is how superficial you are that you see people’s race before anything else. I see people for more than their race. Yes if I see some random stranger I may or may not note his race in my mind, depending on the area. If I’m in a place full of black people and I see just another black person, I don’t think to myself “Oh look! A black guy”, I just acknowledge that he is some random guy and don’t give a second thought to his race. I live in an extremely diverse and cosmopolitan area full of people of every conceivable race and ethnic group. More importantly, I grew up in Canada in the same multicultural area. I learned in the classroom full of diversity. When you grow up like that you learn to look past racial differences. Perhaps you grew up in a monocultural environment.
