This tree is well known in Paktya,it is located near Wazih District in the Lands of the Zadran tribe.It's story goes back to the times of Tribal Wars.
For this i can give you example for the subtribe of Zadran,Shabak fought for more than a dozen years against the subtribe of Zadran,Baramkheil it resulted in huge causalties the war was about the lands of shabak,which they inherited from their forefathers and their brother tribe did not wanted Shabkkheils among their territories.During this time Shabak was splitted within,wars within were common,for example the subtribe of Shabak , Tarnaq was fighting against Gurakai and the Supkheil against the Patekheil.And not to mention all the other subtribes of Zadran were inconflicts within themselves,like Parangai and Terekheil.

The biggest tribes of Paktia are well known :
Zazai,Mangal,Zadran,Ahmedzai and Zurmati..

Also among the bigger tribes of Paktia there were wars,not to forget the war between Zazai and Mangal.

Let us return to the story of the tree,the elders met right at this very tree it was located on the roadside and this area was the place where the jirga took place also in the past,when war broke out and such.
So they met and many did not kept their oath and started war again.
And historians mention,that once they took an oath by the Quran or by Allah and they were liars and while they were sitting under the shade of this very tree,and they lied and carried out their attacks against eachother,

and they mention this was the very last time that they enjoyed the shade of this beautiful tree,and til today it remained as it is and it is a sign for the liars and those who are righteous.
