| Siesta ... I usually take one before Maazigar Munz. This might help your sleep a little better. Your four hours isn't great, and for a healthy body and mind, you may need some more sleep. Of course in hot Muslim countries, the work day follows the body cycle a bit better - early rises are followed by an afternoon nap shortly after prayer and lunch. When did the 9-5 routine and the exhaustion that follows waiting in traffic queues either side of that become the template for human happiness? |

1) Flush out all the thoughts running through your mind when you are in bed....this happens a lot when you are stressed and stuff....which causes you to worry about things, not letting your mind to relax. 2) Eating patterns.....a lot of times, when you eat a big meal around 9 pm or afterwards, it causes your body to pause and not allow to really absorb what you just intaked. So make sure not to eat late or heavily for dinner. 3) Your bed should be used for sleep. Period. You see what happens is when you do homework in your bed and stuff....your body recognizes your bed as a tool for homework, not for its purpose... 4) Be consistent with your sleep...sleep the same amount of hours, the same time you go to bed and the same time you wake up. That way its not messing up your sleep patterns. Your body is like a battery. You need to charge it, which is the purpose of sleep. Now you need to let the battery charge fully. It wont charge all the way if your keep taking it out and putting it back in, right. Now for your nightmare problems...this is a form of parasomnias. This usually happens in your Stage 4 of your REM sleep (i wont get into that, too hard to explain). Everyone gets nightmares, everyone does. Like i said you may have something in your conscious, unconscious, or preconscious that is bothering you. The reason why you are getting these nightmares during your full hours of sleep, is because your body and mind does not recognize this 8 hours of sleep. It is trying to sent a message to tell you to 'wake up' even though you should be sleeping.....The best thing to do, is go back to a routine that was helping you before. If it worked be consistent with it that way your body can recongize its time for proper sleep. i hope that helped |

| @Zahrojam You have no pshycological problems. These are side effects of excessive exposure to computer screen and using too much internet. Give break to internet+computer for atleast one month, you will not feel dizzy and ur sleeping pattren will come back to normal. (from Dr.jodigul) ............. |

| i know what my problem is and all that. what i don't know for sure is if REM sleep causes this and if i should skip on full night sleeps. i really don't feel like drugging my self to sleep. Quote:

| Yeah just give it some time with patience, if it worsens like after a month or two, definitely see a sleep expert, though they tend to be full of bs to get money for the hour they treated you, it should be your last option. |

| Both....yeah doctors tend to bs a lot too with medication. Yeah i dont see how meds can treat nightmares but it can help with sleep impairment....though i really doubt if its needed. Did your doctor say if it was sleep insomnia or not? |
