How are these marriages common? I once lived with a Punjabi Muslim from Lahore and otherwise a staunch Pakistani nationalist, he told me such marriages are pretty common. Ironically, he admitted he would not hesitate marrying a Sikh girl.

i have seen couple of kashmiri girls married with sikh and hindo. i guess they culturally more closed to each others. sikh girls usually dont marry non-sikhs.

yeah i couldnt live with a paki... and marriages between different cultures dont work out most of the time so its not even worth it... me personally i dont like when cultures mix,,, and religion is even worst... cuz then their kids are atheists

that requires for a beautiful mentality as well as lots of patience and understanding unless they do it because they don't care for their religions. just because you lack the understanding to love or respect someone who does not necessarily share your own religion doesn't mean you should discredit those who do.

no i was not being disrespectful when i said paki... and i meant marrying someone who is not the same culture... i didnt mean a pashtun from pak and a pashtun form afg
i meant 4 example my cuz married a spanish girl... a pashtun and a nonpashtun
they hav diff language... religion... and culture thats what i meant

and by religion we r not allowed to marry some1 outside of our religion unless they convert... i feel u marrying someone who cares for u and ur fam but different cultures and religions dont work i see it alot here.. thats total bull **** to say u can be patient and understanding... it just dont work
