| I just had a few questions, would it be safe for a non-Muslim westerner to live here? Would I be able to find gainful employment? I have a degree and I can teach English if need be, or even manual labour. Would I be asked to convert to Islam or are people easy-going with regards to religion? I've been exposed to Pashtun culture here in London and it really appeals to me, and of course the cuisine! I'd appreciate any advice or help ![]() Thanks! |

"Khuda na khwasta"??? Did you really say that? Dude, the more time passes, the more you sound a Tajik. There is nothing wrong with being a Tajik or speaking Farsi but you are one of those super-Pathans who made fun of Tajiks but you use in almost every sentence their language. Whatīs wrong with you? Let me translate that expression in Pashto for you: "Khuda na khwasta" is the wrong terminology in that context in general. Even in Farsi you would say: Khuda nakunnad. In Pashto you would say: Khudai de wunekee che Kandahar ya Baluchistan de khwakh kerrey wee! to choose = khwakh kawel "Khastaan" is a Farsi expression and means "to want something". If I was you I would really check up my language, identity and habits. |

| Warning ! This guy sounds totally phony ! Who in their right mind who knows anything about events in the area would talk about "emigrating" to Quetta or Qandahar ?! I mean a supposed Westerner. It's suspicious: why didn't he --- [for I am sure it's a he - Scimitar's joke was funny about if it's a woman inquirer !] --- ask about some quiet out of the way Pashtun turf like maybe Bannu ? Or somewhere like that? This is a big red herring that he asked about these two areas. Baluchistan is where that anti Iranian group is based. It is believed to be backed by US and British intelligence. Hmm...could he be a "sleeper agent" as they're called - go and live in the area and blend in and later be activated for some political purpose. His interest in the cuisine sounds completely fake. Who is it we have here ??! |
