Paulo David the Magnet Boy baffles doctors in Brazil
Paulo David has been dubbed Magnet Boy after discovering that
metal objects cling to his skin when placed near him, fascinating his
friends and family.
Paulo David first discovered that his body appears to behave like a magnet
when his dad asked him to fetch a knife and fork. 'Much to my surprise,
they stuck,' said Junior, Paulo's father.
Since then, Paulo David's body has carried scissors, spoons and even large
casserole pots, all of which apparently 'stick' to his torso.
With no medical explanation for boy's magnetic ability, doctors have
admitted they are stumped as to why the metal objects are attracted to
Paulo David's body.
The Amorim family doctor Dix-Sept Rosado Sobrinho told TV Globo he had
never seen anything like the 'Magnet Boy' case in his 30 years in medicine,
but added that the schoolboy's health was not thought to be at risk.
The 11-year-old's unique quality has made him something of a local
celebrity in his native Rio Grande do Norte state in eastern Brazil, with his
classmates as school often asking Paulo David to demonstrate his ability.
'In school, everyone asks me to put things on my body, they think it is a
trick,' the youngster said.
