| najibullah was hanging with money in his mouth thanks to the isi and some of their talib lackeys, najibullah had a vision for the country and had his generals (like shanawaz punjaby) not betrayed him he would of stayed in power for a few other years. the brutal killing of najibullah was a direct attack on whatever honour our country had left. |

| As I was in the process of moving house, I found a book that I hadn't read but picked up in Kabul when I was last there. It was written by Ghulam Nabi Mubtakir and concerns the history of Afghanistan. It was very scathing of Nadir Shah, the king from 1929 to 1933, to the point where it dedicated a good 100 pages (i.e. a fifth of the book) to the man. I wonder what people here think of him? To advise others is an easy matter, the difficulty is accepting advice -- since it is bitter for those who follow their own inclinations and desires. -Imam al Ghazali |
