In my experience Than(youghurt mixed with salt and water) is the best!

Toorwe & shlombay are two words in Pashto for what I assume is Than.



It is yoghurt & water mixed with cucmber, mint & salt.

Ahhhh, ok than I know it, ys it is similar to Than, I tasted it from my friends from Afghanistan, but they are not Pashtuns (I suppose Tajiks), so they called it differently.
It is my favourite drink.
We sometimes also put cucumber in Armenia, but we never use mint, we use coriander leafs

a local yoghurt drink ...it is the best thing that you can get on a hot day to noon lunch in pashtun households.

Best way to avoid it: Stop eating so many damn chilis.
