it looks fun. truth be told, i don't really like weddings these days. arranging for everything at home has a different taste to it. nawa days a hall is booked and people are hired to have everything ready...all weddings look the same. same people, same dancing moves and same music. I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me. non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

This is an Afghan wedding? It reminds me of that American Punjabi wedding video I posted on CK, that was very interesting, never seen anything like that. I love weddings, so much fun, but only if you know people there and the couple, otherwise it's boring.

That was really interesting. Thank you for sharing that with us. So do you do Afghan ritual at your wedding? such as: the desmal, put it on the bride and groom, bring the mirror, and they act like they have never seen one another, then bring the henna to put on the brides hand from her father-in-law and on the grooms pinkie from his father-in-law But i really liked that wedding...makes me want to get up and join them on the dance
