the origin of rap, hip hop is the expression of oppressed people but some of the words are oppression of themselves and degredation of their women. i agree talal, in that sense.

Wow, your west coast bias to the core. Where was Hip-Hop created? NY. West coast only was good for a few years, before that East was good, after the west boom, east coast is still alive
HipHop might have been created in NY but the west coast perfected it and now you guys have ruined it all.. all that work.... they put into making great music. West Coast rap died pretty much with 2pac, but there are still some good artists but they don't get as much exposure...

Well, if you are in for it for money.... of course thats going to happen.. but listening to underground rappers, who are into it for the art and the culture.. you will begin to see the great side of it.. HipHop is a great genre.

NY killed hip hop? In the Mid 90's the west had over exaggerated rappers and rhymes, that it had to change it.

If anyone killed Hip Hop, it's the south.
