Id disagree. There is a vast amount of people from waziristan kurram bannu etc that listen to that kinda music.

There are some who sing in their local style. But they are few and not in the mainstream.

Last night I heard this Waziristani song

It's the first Pashto song I've heard in a while where I understood less than 60% of what was said.

I guess overall they are very similar but Attan styles are distinct imo. I think similarities may be more to do with tribes than with area.

Gharanai sandara is another music genre from Loya Paktia that I forgot to mention earlier. It is very popular in Kurram, and I guess probably Waziristan/Bannu as well then?
