While it is true that some Afghan members of this forum exagerrate how underdeveloped and disadvantaged Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is compared to the rest of Pakistan I think it is probably better that an actual Pakistani Pashtun from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa clarify the misonceptions. A Punjabi making a thread like this will only create unnecessary conflict.

Don't know who this guy is trying to fool. Many of us have lived in KP ourselves, and some of us even live there now.

Stop shilling for your government and start demanding that they actually fix your hellhole of a country. It's embarrassing for Pakistan to be in the state that it's in, after 70 years of independence.

I've been to KP myself. It's not in a good state. I haven't seen the rest of Pakistan myself, but from the descriptions of others who have, it seems places like Karachi and Islamabad are way better off.

The HDI of KP versus the Pakistan average seem to confirm my personal experiences too. KP's HDI is .48, equal to that of Afghanistan. The sad part for me is that I was mostly in Peshawar, which actually has a better HDI (.55) than the rest of KP, so most people living in KP actually have it worse than what I saw.

Wrora, Karachi and Islamabad are extreme examples. Peshawar in reality isn't much different from other second-rate cities of Pakistan. KP isn't in a good state but so isn't most other parts of Pakistan.

As for HDI. That index is bull. I've checked the statistics within KPK and it shows Swabi as being less developed than Lakki Marwat which makes zero sense. There is no way a southern district(The far southern districts are the most neglected part of the province) like Lakki Marwat is less developed than a district of the Peshawar valley like Swabi. People from Afghanistan generally migrate to KPK and not the other way around so I think we can safely say KPK is more developed.
